The past month has been very, very long, and I have been extremely tired! Could sleep all day…But Wednesday morning – yep,for once in a looooooong time I got out of bed early – the Greyhound took me to the mountains! Now my body is full of energy and I have absolutely no problem getting up in the morning! I grew up in a country with no mountains, almost no snow…but for some reason I just feel at home up here – hard to explain in words. It’s just a feeling. A very nice feeling. Waking up in the morning, looking out the window, seeing the beautiful nature, breathing the thin mountain air…and most important, doing funny, crazy stuff with a good crew. I just love it!
When I grow up I wanna be “a person who lives in/or close to the mountains”! Maybe I should concentrate more on the web stuff in my study – working in the mountains must be possible with a job in that line of business!
Whistler is my first encounter with the North American mountains. I’ve heard a lot about it…about the snow, and in particular the powder! Well,I can say that right now Whistler most of all reminds me of an Austrian ski town in the beginning of a bad season – yep, it’s Grey, wet, and the snow is slushy with a capital S! Buuuuuut we have a lot of fun still. Playing around doing things we don’t normally do, when the snow is perfect…and the snow will come eventually, I’m sure! Once the f***ing global warming decides to take a break and send some cold weather to our side of the globe (there’s snow in Denmark rigth now, wtf?!)!
Snow or no snow (we do have some, though)…life is good! We are so lucky to have the one we have…enjoying every minute of it here!
Unfortunately I’ll be going back down to Van tomorrow evening. Really don’t want to, but something called university is calling in the distance – but I’ll be back Friday morning…And right now I’m sitting in front of the fireplace, listening to Christmas music, and preparing myself to go out with the Danish dudes tonight!
Mang, it’s all GoooooD!
